The last few days have been a whirlwind. We have been immersed in demolition of the bottom right side of our building — what will become the Bar (our four quadrant building: the Bar, the Parlor, the Library, and the Kitchen/Office). Our Bar will feature all the good and plenty — the espresso bar and pour over station, the cold-pressed juices, the fresh baked pastries and, of course, us!
So let’s play a little Before and After of our future Bar.
[Before] All those smooth, pretty walls
And nicely placed ceiling and lights.
Just look at that sturdy door frame!
… Not after this ferocious looking Kitty gets to it with her trusty sledge hammer!
Hanging out with the trash bags and some flacid looking duct work.
A bonafide mess!
… And breaking into the second room. [After]
[Before] Horribly ugly drop ceiling tile #1.
The bigger sledge hammer!
We need to tidy this up.
This one came down hard. Let’s not talk too much about it…
Well, so, looky there!
Our really old barn wood ceiling! [After]
And the Hallway:
[Before] How innocent it all looks.
Hey, that will come in handy later!
Starting to get messy.
Honey, could you take out the trash? [After]
We still have a long way to go…
